Maxime L. Is the host of Astral Traveling, a regular radio show and listening session series exploring different ways of listening as a community, centering feelings of hope in music, mostly in the form of Jazz and its various free, modal and soulful expressions.
Love it or hate it – the flute is probably one of the most divisive instruments out there, even more so in Jazz-related music. To those who know me, it shouldn't be a surprise that I'm part of the former type of people, so I felt it was time I geeked out again and recorded a whole ninety minutes of flute-forward music for this show. Still amazed by how versatile this instrument is and how much good tunes it has contributed to (way too many to fit in this show – watch out for part 2).

Athens-based Stegi Radio and Berlin-based Cashmere Radio present a one-day online exchange event on Sunday 14 January 2024. As part of the ever-growing community of online radios outside the mainstream, Cashmere and Stegi exchange producers in an effort to build bridges beyond borders and solidify communal bonds, share new sounds and ideas and present each radio’s unique character to their respective audiences in both cities. Cashmere Radio presents a roster of producers that reflect its experimental nature, while Stegi Radio chooses up and coming producers from Athens, Thessaloniki and beyond that represent the adventurous and genre-defying creative force of the electronic scene of Greece.
