Digesting Lewinsky is an ironic comment both on the Lewinsky affair and on Monica Lewinsky’s own recent analysis of it. Using a speech made by Lewinsky earlier this year as material, the performance investigates the earliest and most epic instance of slut-shaming on the internet, the emergence of uncanny doppelgängers in the magic mirror of the media as well as the pitfalls of starting a love affair with your boss (that happens), especially if your boss is the president of the United States (that probably happens less often). The performance works also as showcase for PushPull, a bellow-based hybrid instrument which has both analog and digital control elements and was developed as part of the 3DMIN project (3dmin.org).
