Country Blues encompasses the original form of the blues, as well as various rural styles that have appeared since its arrival. Usually it involves prominent vocals and acoustic guitar but other instruments such as the blues harp, slide guitar and lap steel are also common. Occasionally other instruments such as mandolin, banjo or jug-band instruments can be heard.
