New Orleans is known as the birthplace of Jazz as well as place with many unique qualities and cultural specialties, and for being the home of Mardi Gras. It is also the source of a unique style of the Blues. Influenced by Dixieland Jazz and incorporating Caribbean Rhythms, New Orleans Blues is primarily driven by Piano and Horn. Guitar is however not uncommon as the primary instrument. The delivery is generally cheery sounding regardless of the subject matter. Laid-back yet complex rhythms which fall behind the beat are utilized.
