12’ Bar Ramblin’ #53 ‘More Piano Blues’ with Stefan Matussek

17 November 2020
  • Blues
  • Boogie
  • Melancholy
  • Soulful

Among the instruments that make up the sound of blues music, the piano takes somewhat of a back-seat, as the genre usually conjures up images of guitar and harmonica. The piano has none-the-less been there from very early on in the genre’s history, accompanying some of the earliest recorded blues singers. Over the decades many piano players made names for themselves through their abilities and how they could express themselves using the instrument. This episode is dedicated to all those great and often overlooked piano players.
