This month Juba is joined by the queen of the Berlin’s Afro scene and core Freak De L’Afrique member DJ Nomi. They chat about all things music, including the rise of contemporary African music i.e. West African Afrobeats, Angolan Kuduro, South African Afrohouse in Berlin and its impact on the city, as well DJ Nomi’s time spent touring Africa last year which included gigs in Tanzania, Rwanda, Madagascar and her home country Ghana. DJ Nomi also joins forces with Juba for the first ever live b2b on Afroelectronik.
DJ Ayizan, one of the DJs who features in Juba’s documentary ‘Assurance’, which explores the experiences of female DJs in Nigeria, also provides a multi-genre dance inducing mix to close off the show.
