For June’s episode of Afroelectronik Juba focuses on rap, hip hip and subsequent sub genres, exploring musical forms of expression and resistance that were birthed out of the African American experience. She is joined by Tchuani, founder of Berries Berlin, an inclusive hip hop party series, to discuss issues of racism in light of recent events, as well as Rap & Hip Hop in Germany, LGBT representation and more. Tchuani also delivers a mini mix and the show closes off with a guest mix from Brussels’ Black Mamba, which is an energising fusion of rap, trap, ballroom, global club sounds and more.
