Aspects 05 w/ Immy – Taurus Full Moon

Aspects 05 finds Immy stepping into the booth, live in studio at Cashmere Radio in Wedding, to play a focused retrospective of New Age records from her collection.

Recorded on the night of the Taurus full moon, the selection focuses on first-wave New Age from the late 1970s and early 1980s, music made for meditation and healing, much of it released before New Age had its own section in record stores.

Many of these records came out through independent channels: self-distributed tapes, a women’s music label, and small private presses. Expect crystal energy aligning chimes and melodies that float free of rhythm, from Steven Halpern and Deuter to Kay Gardner’s chakra cycle A Rainbow Path and Bearns & Dexter’s The Golden Voyage.

Taurus is the sign of the body, the senses and slow growth. The inspiration for this mix was a meditative New Age mix for lulling a baby to sleep. We could all use the healing vibes to slow down and go inward.
