Special show about Anna Homler aka Breadwoman and her numerous collaborations and performances. Synthesizing music, spoken word, installation and intermedia into alternative languages that extend the possibilities of meaning and communication, with a sensibility that is both ancient and post-modern, Ms Homler blurs the line between words and music. Although Breadwoman, her main incarnation character, stands outside of time, she is is rich in the ingredients of 1980s Los Angeles performance art, renegade DIY punk, gallery culture, galvanized jazz, underground cassette-trading culture, drag extravaganzas, and esoteric meaning-making mysticism.
