I always have been fascinated how music and sound are intertwined in our daily life, from a radio blasting nearby, to a shop or a never leaving track in our head, resonating with our day. While visiting my partner in Japan, I brought with me a sound recorder, with no intention but recording my direct surroundings, as a sound memo. While doing this, I opened my ears to the music I was hearing, not really looking for it, just being open. I constructed this show as a journey where music and urban noise is interconnected, linked with composition as my mind was connecting sound fragments. You will enter a bar, jump into my partner’s grandma recommendation like a day dream, go out of the metro, sit in a park, go back straight to the '70s and enjoy a karaoke night.
Kotori to Kuma, the bird and the bear, are just my favorite words I have learnt. They are connected to people, places and moments that truly moved me during my journey.
Enjoy,
Oswild.
