Cashmere Sessions Iku Sakan and Anders Lauge Meldgaard

Iku Sakan is a electronic musician from Osaka, Japan. his music focuses predominantly on the potential of emotional developments through the repetitive rhythmic patterns, rotating harmonics, and resonating melodies. The decades of collecting constantly shifting sound materials, melding improvisation, and DJ'ing practices, has led him to create his own unique niche of organic music in the late 2010s. his most recent works incl. a remix for the French composer Yann Tiersen (via Mute Records) and the forthcoming musique-concrete-inspired tone poem LP “OMNITOPOEIA”.

Anders Lauge Meldgaard is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who works in a wide field of musical expressions, ranging from contemporary music to free improvisation over sound installations, songwriting, orchestral collages, chamber music, mixtapes, and electronic music. The tension between composition and improvisation is often used as a motivating force to propel his musical adventures. his most recent effort, EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) driven midi-concerto “The Art of Playing Fantasia” has been released from Sun Araw’s Sun Ark Records in May 2023.
