YRLNG is a new project by Gilles Aubry, dedicated to ambient and abstract club music. Released by Antibody in June 2024, the album Rbia, Harsha, Cinta features eight tracks of dark analog textures and naked rhythms. The album's title references endangered seaweed species, reworking themes from Aubry's 2022 experimental film Atlantic Ragagar, which explores seaweed and pollution in Morocco.

In live performances, YRLNG improvises on modular synths using material from the album, creating a haunting soundscape of post-natural intensity.

Gilles Aubry is a Swiss musician and sound artist based in Berlin. He creates experimental compositions using field recordings, electronic manipulations, and feedback processes. He is also known as a member of the Berlin-based noise collective MONNO, which released five albums between 2003 and 2015. As a sound artist, Aubry's practice includes film, installation, radio, and performance, engaging with the cultural, ecological, and affective dimensions of sound and listening.
