Disco Vumbi is Kenyan artist Alai K. Blending traditional Kenyan styles with contemporary production techniques Disco Vumbi has released on both Nyege Tapes flagship imprint and the newer Hakuna Kulala sublabel. Alai K has been involved in the Kenyan music industry since 1995, starting out with the Hip Hop collective Ukoo Flani and afterwards pursuing a solo career as a singer and songwriter. Later he ventured into music production under the moniker Disco Vumbi.
