Looking back at the show STARTING FROM SCRATCH – Films by Wilf Thust, which took place at Cittipunkt in June 2024, you’re being read through excerpts from the material which was on display in the exhibition. This is a compilation with bits and pieces taken from the publication STARTING FROM SCRATCH, the accompanying booklet for the film IS THAT IT?, the vimeo file Anthony and Lisa in conversation and from the film DON’T THINK SO!, written, noted, stated or composed by Wilf Thust, Paul Hallam, Michael, Lil Warren, Anthony Davies and DISBAND THE S.P.G.. The focus is on the relationship between adults and teenagers within the YOUNG PEOPLE CINEMA WORKSHOPS, held in the 1980’s at Four Corners, a self-organised space committed to independent filmmaking in east London.
