Special guest this month is AXINE M all the way from NYC! Axine M is the moniker of Maxine de las Pozas, a music artist residing in Brooklyn, NY. The Ancient Greek Axenos, or "inhospitable place," is a name for the Black Sea before nautical technology was advanced enough to safely traverse the water. Axine M is a vessel for musical inquiries and creative impulses across multiple genres and sentiments, carving out a space for itself against the grain of the dystopian imaginary.
She ALSO happens to be one of the most exciting performers around right now in this dj's humble opnion. Maxine played a set of almost all originals on the show and it was amazing to hear the range of her work and a little bit about what she's got coming up…. for example a new release on Deep Puddle fave ANNO and a tour with Bridget Ferrill and Áslaug Magnusdottir.
