I have discovered Pamina Milewska’s work via the Viennese imprint Epileptic Media. Her spoken word improvisations are intimate yet universal, ranging from declamatory to rap-like to fleeting singalongs, uttered in several languages, German, Polish, Russian, Spanish, to unstoppable laughter.. For our latest Cashmere Radio show, Pamina has created one hours-worth of sound material that she recorded over the course of a week. It consists of everyday “life sounds”, aurally transporting you to the her private sonic space as well as incorporating sounds from her musical practice, using the methods of improvisation and randomness. She finds the recording suitable for “small ears”. Raw and lofi at its most beautiful.
