Eastern Daze # 30 Avant Art festival report part 2

Hayden Potter took the opportunity to visit the Polish city of Wroclaw for the 2020 Edition of Avant Art Festival. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the festival compromised of exclusively of artists from Poland. They spanned both classically and experimentally developed forms. We met with Tonfa of Poland’s new wave of experimental hip-hop, the delicate synth-pop duo Enchanted Hunters and sisters behind the fictive philosophising sounds of Mentos Glugendo to uncover how a festival in this time in Poland could find a centring foundation in music amongst the turbulence of a divisive social-political climate.
