Eastern Daze #58 Croatia Experimental by Babilonska

Nina Maštruko (Babilonska), a cultural worker and DJ from Croatia, created a mix that envelopes some of her favorite current Croatian music. The featured artists range from field recording ambient explorers and leftfield electronic music producers to masterful improvisers and futuristic guitar lords. The mix starts with a bit of soundscape layering, then moves on to heavier beats and broken rhythmic patterns and in the back half turns to doomy riffs, psychedelic ambience and proggy guitar licks. Regional folk music influences are sprinkled throughout.
