I‘ve was given the gift by my friends at Cashmere Radio to produce an hour and a half of airtime on Oct 24 2003 from 19.30-21.00 CET. This time commenced my residency at the radio, which will run until the end of 2023. I used my time to broadcast some topical thoughts by Judith Butler and Laurie Anderson on Walter Benjamin‘s ‚Theses on the Philosophy of History‘, as well as the legendary conversation between Rainer Werner Fassbinder and his mother Liselotte Eder, featured in the 1978 film ‚Deutschland im Herbst’. In the endeavour of inquiring and learning about the world in light of Oct 7, radio can be a precious and much needed space for coming together. Til soon.
