Hilde Wollenstein (free version), born 1997 in Culemborg, Netherlands, lives in The Hague and Berlin. 2015-18 she studied classical clarinet at the Conservatory in Utrecht. Since 2018 she studies Sonology at the Royal Conservatory, The Hague, completing the bachelors in 2022, currently following the masters programme.
Hilde composes and performs music for (DIY) multi-channel loudspeaker systems with sampled and field recorded material. Her work is inspired by sound ecology and daily life, realist magic, urban atmospheres, and youth culture.
Hilde has played at, worked for, or collaborated with; Cashmere Radio, SpaesLab, KM28, Morphine Raum, and WestGermany in Berlin. Studio Loos, theater de Regentes, and Korzo in Den Haag. Imbarchino in Turin, Mengi in Reykjavík, Močvara Gallery in Zagreb. Off Center, Nerd Syndicate, ONCEIM Paris, Sanna Helena Berger. Rewire Festival, Mzóg Festival, Bučení Festival, etc…
