For the Happy Hours live debut, the fabulous Hydro Majestic – who is a) the reason this show exists in the first place and b) one of my favorite people in the universe – joined me in the Cashmere booth on a tumultuous Saturday evening. The show took a lot of unexpected turns, with the occasional digression into the chaotic – like fun things tend to do. It starts somewhere in Deep House land with a surprising amount of flutes, turns very drummy and punchy eventually and ends somewhat abstract with butterflies and something that might or might not be extremely slowed down Footwork. And somewhere in between Da… I mean Hydro Majestic played a Move D track that rips so hard, it’s kinda obscene.
