Gavilán Rayna Russom speaks with host Eve Essex about “The Envoy” (Ecstatic), a new album of beatless electronic music based on Ursula K LeGuinn’s “The Left Hand of Darkness”. Russom explores how her early practice and 90s output under the monikers Paper Eyes and Child informs the new album, and speaks about growing up making electronic music in Providence, RI. She also shares music from a second recent release, “Secret Passage”, an album inspired by the East Side Rail Tunnel in Providence, released on her newly established imprint Voluminous Arts.
