Nile Koetting
Born in Kanagawa, 1989. Lives and works between Tokyo and Berlin.
Nile Koetting is known for his installation with a diverse range of media to include video, performance, and sound. His projects explore a new perception of interchange between material – immaterial, living – non living beings in a landscape of technological time and space. His work has been presented in the exhibitions “Somerset House” Somerset House, London (2018), “The 7th Moscow Biennale”, Tretyakov Gallery, Russia (2017), “Made in Germany Drei” Kunstverein Hannover (2017), “GLOBALE: New Sensorium” ZKM Karlsruhe (2016), “ROPPONGI CROSSING 2016: My Body, Your Voice” Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2016), “Les Liaisons Ambiguës” Maison Hermès, Tokyo (2016), “3hd Festival” Berlin (2016), “Remain Calm” Centre Pompidou x West Bund Museum Project, Shanghai (2019), and “Anticorps” Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2020).
He is currently a resident artist at Cité des Internationale Paris and has been awarded the Overseas Study Program for Artists by the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Japanese Government.
