Best known for his analogue-era works of the ’50s and ’60s, the colour of his later period may come as a minor surprise to new listeners—we’ll be hearing commercially available synths like the K2500X, DX7 and D-50 stretched and compressed by Akai samplers, resulting in a sound that’s arguably more relevant today than his better-known pieces.
