No Thing Considered Beatmap

“Beatmap” is an ars poetica in the sound of a music box and a door. The host makes a MeToo statement and immediately is cast in a karaoke of David Bowie’s “I’m Deranged” that breaks on doxa; and from this word begins a Faustian recursive examination of the effacing and self-compromising nature of his artistic origins in high school Surrealism. An encyclopedia bot provides the terms of self-examination with horrific, interrogative vocalizations of error—doxa, emotional detachment, grandiosity, Irma Grese, and metronome.
