Nkisi, aka Melika Ngombe Kolongo, is the special guest of this fourteenth episode of Open Sources. She talks about the rave culture that influenced her growing up in Belgium, the drumming sounds of Congo and the research around Bantu & Dogon cosmology that lead to her last album “7 directions” on Lee Gamble’ label UIQ. The interview is interspersed with diverse tracks connected to the topics adressed, and one also get to hear an extract of Nkisi’s soundtrack to her new project with Paul Maheke.
