Pattern Z #35 w/ special guest Flaaviø – Around the World in 80 Days
25 June 2020
+++ Special guest: Flaaviø +++
+++ Around the World in 80 Days +++
For this special takeover of Pattern Z, Flaaviø dives into “Around the World in 80 Days” (“Le Tour du Monde en 80 Jours”), a story of 2 adventurers attempting to circumnavigate the world in 80 days. Written by Jules Verne and published in 1827, adapted in cinema for the first time in 1956 by Michael Anderson, the book sets the start of the journey in the UK and will see the main characters traveling through several countries, including France, Egypt, India, Japan and the US.
Instead of following a geographically coherent plan, Flaaviø decided to take you on a trip from country to country based on the flow of the music. The idea is that there is no impossible itinerary, no boundaries, that music could be a vessel to tell a story, and that reciprocally, history could be explained and understood through music.
17 tracks, 17 different countries. We start from the same city than in the book: London. Strap on for a trip “Around The World in 80 minutes” (or so)
