Is it the end of the world? Is it the dark, cold, frozen hell we’re all going to? No! It’s just January in Berlin.
If we have to choose between the mostly grey and dull days and the broad spectrum of feelings the night holds for us, we always go for the latter. You can embrace it or fight it, but personally we think you better get used to the darkness for a few more months if you want to stay (more or less) sane in diesen Breitengraden.
With these 90 minutes of oddities and wonky hits from Germany, Switzerland and Austria in the 80s we welcome you to take a ride through a imaginated feverdream straight out of the brain of our host Samuele Paletti. From the enclosing darkness to weird rites to insanity, from euphoria and celebration to desire, drugs and doom.
This show is dedicated to George Perec’s “A Man Asleep” and the pioneers of the alternative Berlin nightlife scene we’re all so deeply indebted to.
