Something Like #55: Dust in Suspension, w/ Bitsy Knox

21 June 2023
  • Ambient
  • Avant-Garde
  • Experimental
  • Poetry
  • Dreamy
  • Urgent

My friend Lau once told me, "dust is the last thing". Everything turns to dust eventually. It's the last step. Perhaps it's an afterlife, hovering energy carried by the wind into the atmosphere, anticipating the moment when the smallest breath of water vapour will form around it, carrying it downwards to fertilize the earth. From this parched place, we'll be thinking about prediction, patterns, and invocations.

  1. Thank you as always to Roger 3000 for Something Like's jingle.
  2. Thank you to Julian Talamantez Brolaski for generously allowing Something Like to play its poem if i could i surely would. Thank you too to Haus für Poesie/Lyrikline for the recording of Julian's if i could i surely would. Julian Talamantez Brolaski is a poet and country musician. Its forthcoming album It's Okay Honey is coming out on August 4th this year. You can listen to the singles No More Lonesome Heartaches on Spotify, Youtube, or Apple Music.
