The hour of music music hour is a program focused on traditional vernacular musics from all over the world.  There is a heavy focus on recordings made in Africa in the first half of the 20th century, But you can also expect to hear many recordings from South East Asia, Central Asia, the Balkans, and more.   About 20 percent of recorded material on this program comes from original 78 rpm shellack records so you can expect to hear some material that very obscure indeed.
