My guest this episode: Tim Tetzner has probably the largest archive of hypnosis records in the world. From hypno session documentation, to radio-play-type reenactments and psychedelic sound experiments with effected voice, the hypnosis record knows no aesthetic or formal limitations. From it's rise in the post WWII era through its acceptance as a mainstream medical practice and the continuing popularity of stage hypnotism we survey the diverse voices, languages and audio-aesthetic settings that comprise the set of works that hypnotism on vinyl constitutes.
The Weirding Module listens into the voice in contemporary art and experimental music this time with an ear for the hypnotist's power of suggestion.
