To Hear Is To Feel #3: Stiroll, Waveskania, super inter

Stiroll started in 2017 as a side-project of Sport and Music experimental duo founded in Donetsk (now occupied by russian federation) in 2009 by Volodymyr Kostyliev and Yurii Piskunov. Currently the duo is based in Kyiv.

Music of Stiroll is focused on dubtechno\urban dub styles, inspired by urban aesthetics, exploring cold and dark vibe of Babylon-like big cities, especially during the war.

“Waveskania is a solo project for my own meditation and experimentation that I sometimes share with those who may be interested in DIY, Lo-Fi and Experimental aesthetics. Here I mainly explore the ambient/drone direction, as well as downtempo, trip-hop/instrumental hip-hop and the odd electro/idm, so in general you can say that it’s more of a multi-genre work, an area where various musical trends can be combined quite strangely and cinematically under the general tag of ‘underground non-commercial electronic music’.”
