To Hear Is To Feel #4: Sche+Mova, Syncøpe, ϙue

Sche is a project of Oleksandr Schekochikhin, Ukrainian producer which started from explorations of a techno/electronic sound possibilities combined with a Musique Concrète aesthetics. Last experiments were shifted towards a using of more acoustic sources, especially field recordings and working with their structures as a compositional material.

Mova is a Ukrainian duo of Maksym Trianov and Oleksandr Schekochikhin, musicians who are interested in combining electronic music and guitar improvisation and exploring the acoustic possibilities of such a combination. Having released their first album “Lastivka” on the Ukrainian label da_sein_rec (Donetsk, 2014), the duo proved to be one of the most interesting formations of the Ukrainian experimental scene. Through various collaborations with painters (Roman Minin), dancers (Laboratory of body images “ARTtELO“) and even perfume makers (installations of Jaques Zolty and Olibere) the duo revealed the multidisciplinary creativity level while leaving room for stylistic drift from rarefied acoustic improvisations to stochastically generated synthesizer sequences. The duet has put out a number of records that are vivid reflections of a truly free creative search.

Nika Kanishcheva Aka Syncøpe is an abstract minimal house producer.

She appears on the local scene of Kyiv city since 2016, entering the underground movement by playing mainly in after parties and small warm and soft events, organized by various collectives in Ukraine.

Joining the voices of all Ukrainian musicians, she uses the scene and public space as a way to once again call for more military aid.

ϙue is a Ukrainian soundscape artist who focuses on spiritually-driven music projects oriented towards concepts such as deep listening and ego death. With further interest in abstract art, eco-activism and philosophy, multiple inferences can be discovered in his work.

ϙue is co-curating the ICKPA festival’s lineup in 2023.

In the past, curator of Biorhythm Radio – a platform which researches non-verbal communication with surrounding environment.
