The May issue follows its host Dan Laig’s seasonal habits. This means the oh-so sunny spring Berlin’s 2018 was blessed with will be accompanied with some good old power pop. The rock style which originated in the early 70s and drew heavily from the early Beatles, the Who, Faces and other, mostly British Invasion bands can possibly be described as pop history’s first appearance of the much maligned concept of post-irony.
