TRANSIENCE #56 Drone Day with Lou Drago and Olle Holmberg

During the 10th International Drone Day we attempted once more to make a noise together that stretches around the globe, a sonic defiance of borders. Amidst such ongoing horror, i believe it’s so important to take moments to resource ourselves and get in touch with our subtle bodies, to offer love to ones cells. Drone has the transformative power to awaken tiny vibrations in our skin, between bones, and tickling the fascia.

t r a n s i e n c e is honoured to have a new generative composition from multi-instrumentalist, drone extraordinaire Olle Holmberg. The piece, Untitled (Consequence of Sound) employs a series of subharmonic sevenths creating a floating feeling somewhere between major and minor. This is a music for folding the past and future into the present. We’re also humbled to include some fragments from ‘The Jewel Maker, The Great Tantra on the Consequence of Sound’, which offer some ancient wisdom apt for these times.

The episode begins with a new piece from myself, a repurposed ending, kind of low-fi, cosy duvet embrace for melancholic moments for feeling held. Slow and minimal, i invite you to dive into the feathers and get lost in the folds.
