UP+OUT w/ Hibotep, Y-DRA, Jamie Palta

UP+OUT joins fast tempos + far-away dancefloors with rapid-fire guest mixes. Each episode features guest DJs’ 20-minute workout mixes that hang on the higher side of 160 beats per minute.

For 2020’s first episode, we feature two rising artists who will be performing at CTM Festival in Berlin. First up is a sultry bass set from Somali selecta, Hibotep, a core member of the Nyege Nyege collective championing safe spaces on Kampala’s underground dancefloors. Next we have a Dark Koplo set from cross-genre innovator and multidisciplinary artist Y-DRA, hailing from Indonesia. Our host Jamie Palta wraps things up with a mash of angsty footwork and emo dnb to get you through your winter feels.
