The Gyre by Daniel Perez Hajdu

The Gyre, composed for the dance piece by Tumbleweed, is a meditation of circling interleaving minimalistic though complex hypno-rhythms playing with each other.

Daniel Perez Hajdu

Born in Havana in 1980.

Started making images, then moved on for sounds. Therefore, studied in the Conservatoire Royal de Mons, and obtained a Master in Acousmatic Composition.

Meanwhile, exposed here and there (assemblages, installations and video).

Meanwhile too, concerts in a band with a guitar in something vaguely rock, vaguely noisy improvisation.

Today composes music and sounds for concert, radio, theatre and film. Articles too.

Still going to the Conservatoire Royal de Mons, but now as a teacher.
