Desintegrationskurs is a radio show curated by Kaloan Meenochite, aka KALOZIN, that focuses on decolonial and immigrant perspectives in experimental music from Latin America and the Global South.
The name is a play on the “Integrationskurs,” a state-imposed requirement for immigrants to learn German language and values, reframed here as an act of cultural resilience through experimental sound. Every episode invites a guest artist from the Global South to share their music and perspectives.
Desintegrationskurs stands as a platform that builds community, respect, and genuine cultural exchange, embracing disintegration as a method to deconstruct the rigid norms of cultural assimilation and the dominance of Eurocentric narratives. Let’s dissolve the limits of our listening and open up to the diverse voices from the Global South.
