From the Berlin Perspectives program at Humboldt‑Universität zu Berlin, this 10‑episode audio series emerged from a seminar exploring Berlin’s contested memory practices. Students from multiple disciplines engaged with architecture, activism, art, and public remembrance, investigating how the city’s built environment and spatial politics shape what is remembered—from removed monuments to “absent presences” haunting urban spaces. Through site visits, research, and critical listening, the project maps Volkspark Friedrichshain’s layered histories, translating footsteps, voices, and fragments of memory into a shared auditory journey.
