“Radio as Social Sculpture” is an ongoing special live performance format and begun by Cashmere Radio in 2020 which has been performed in a number of iterations, in Germany and abroad, and in 2022-3 also became a residency program.
The format attempts to bring in situ and online radiophonic practices together in a performative setting, in which the room/stage/gallery serves as both sender and receiver, enacting radio as both a social and collective practice.
The changing program brings together live and curated radio contributions from artists and musicians of the Cashmere Radio community, ranging from live musical performances, readings, archival presentations and interviews to music shows, talk shows, and DJs.
