DJ Alex Pe Win is 33 1/3 of the Voices Collective alongside fellow DJ’s Cedric Woo and Ramar and live percussion. Voices was one of first London based parties to incorporate a strong support in the revival of original Disco, Italo, New Wave music alongside the best of the new deep house and melodic Techno.

Now based in Berlin, Alex has been a working DJ since 1990 and traces his musical roots and record buying back to the early-mid 80’s electro and rap era. A breaker (dancer) from 84 – dancing has always been a major part of his life and gained a massive momentum with the arrival of House music to his ears in late 88 and 89 and still fuels his passion for DJ’ing and dancing here and abroad.

Alex has held residencies at London’s Plastic People for Attica Blues & Hoxton Pimps infamous all night warehouse parties as well as guest apearances for Fabric, Lasermagnetic and Stussy UK. Abroad Alex has been invited to Berlin to play at About Blank, Farbfernsehr, Soju RIP, Wilden Renate. Across the pond in Los Angeles at ‘Free Thinkin’ and San Diego’s ‘Lounge Candelah’ as well as New York’s APT to play alongside such luminaries as Citizen Kane (The Deep End), Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area) and Theo Parrish (Sound Signature).

The original Voices collective which was Alex, Cedric Woo & John Ramar hosted multiple nights during their residency at Plastic People R.I.P on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, London EC2. They were joined by an array of guest from around the world inc DJ’s Citizen Kane (Disque Sinthomes), Eric Duncan (Rub n Tug), Daniel Wang (Balihu), Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area), DJ Kaos (Berlin) Gerry Rooney ( Black Cock Recs), Joel Martin (Quiet Village), Mark Seven, Nick The Record (Soul Ascendants), Gatto Fritto (Dissident, Fritto Morto Recs). They continued a residencies at Bar 512 and The Drop until Alex made his move to Berlin in 2014.

The show could, can or may contain Ambient, Dub, Deep House, Warehouse classics, Disco and more…And always an emphasis on supporting the best of new music that fits the Voices way…

Alex will also be inviting some of his friends in for a guest chat and mix..should they be in town when the show broadcasts.
